Dear Y.E.S.S.,

My mother does not like me watching TV or playing video games. She says they are not good for my brain. I wish I could play video games and watch TV all the time without her telling me to turn it off. The other day she took away my video game and hid it somewhere because she said I needed a break. Please tell me how I could get my video=s back!

Dear Missing My Play Station,

I have a same experience like you. When I was a child, I loved playing video games and watching TV. So I understand your feelings. However, please think about the reasons why your mother took away your video games.

When you become a father or a mother, would you allow your kids to play video games or watch TV all the time like you? I believe you will say ANo.@ Your mother is worrying about you. If you always play games and watch TV, your eyes and brain may be affected as your mother said.

This is one of my suggestions. How about setting the schedule for playing video games and watching TV? For example, you can play the games for only on weekends for so many hours, or for every day but 15 minutes after the homework, etc. I suggest you set the schedule for playing games and watching TV with your mother. I hope it works!
